The Lobby Afternoon Tea@The Peninsula (2014年6月10日)


是日我同Mr.T 都Earl Grey 癮起! 雖然香港天氣酷熱,
但好想好想飲一杯熱辣辣清香濃郁既Earl Grey~~~~
於是我地去咗半島酒店afternoon tea......

下午3點零鐘其實唔係太多人,不過staff 做野好"滋油".......
(我都明白高級酒店唔係好似茶餐廳staff 咁耳仔晾住枝原子筆,
左手一野拿住3隻水杯,右手一咋刀叉匙...旋風式咁執枱既~)

Close up...坦白講...賣相有點令我失望......
(其實正確英式下午茶三層點心架次序應為下至上 + 鹹到甜,
即三文治應該放最低層; 中層為鬆餅; 最上層就放蛋糕甜品~
不過而家上至酒店下至咖啡廳都唔理會次序.......)


不過我都依次序逐層解構一下.......

5鹹點:

- Salami 三文治: 依個最好食! 第一次食到咁香咁正既salami!!

- 青瓜三文治: 好清鮮,我鍾意,但Mr.T 嫌太bland;

- 煙三文魚三文治: 普普通通不過不失; 

- 雞肉酥餅: 個餡就唔錯,但酥皮太實唔夠酥又唔夠香;

- 仲有一塊"神秘"肉批(右邊果塊): 我完全唔記得食過依舊野!

鬆餅...唔錯! 不過Mr.T 認為都係我整既最好食...我自己都覺得係......(真心!)

果醬唔太甜,而且用真正clotted cream,讚! 
但如果cream 再雪凍少少會更好~

5甜點:

- 果塊都算其貌不揚既正方形fruit cake 好有驚喜! 我一向好憎fruit cake,因為一係有玉桂一係有nutmag,不過依塊只有好少nutmag 味,而且好moist 真係好食!!

- Macaron 唔太甜,超light 又唔黐牙,仲好香杏仁味;

- 有小塊杏脯上面既小蛋糕OK;

- 桑子芝士餅: 雖然好細塊,但依個最正! 酸酸甜甜又好香;

- 面頭綠色果塊三層薄荷啫喱朱古力慕絲cake: 唔好意思...我真係覺得依塊好難食!! 至憎薄荷!!! 我咬咗一啖仔...成塊比咗Mr.T~

依杯應該係我飲過最香最好飲既Earl Grey tea!
我覺得就算只係為咗依杯茶,排隊半粒鐘都值得!!

埋單時送既小甜點 - 荔枝慕絲~ 酸微微好清新,幾好味!


Verdict: 會再去! 但唔會點afternoon tea set,會點茶 + 散叫點心~

P.S. 佢地d冷氣好鬼勁........

  1. Top Tier = Scones
    The protocol of placing the scones on the top tier is due to the fact that during the 1800s when the genre of Afternoon Tea first became popular, and modern kitchen conveniences did not exist, a warming dome was placed over the scones. The dome would only fit on the top tier.

    Middle tier = Savories and Tea sandwiches.

    Bottom tier = Sweets
    The savories and tea sandwiches, followed by the sweets, were placed on the middle and bottom tiers respectively. At the progression of each course, service would be provided to remove each tier.

    1. 我又唔會話唔好食,至少我覺得杯Earl Grey 真係好正! 不過個人覺得唔係其他人讚到咁神囉.....

    我第一次飲Earl Grey係檳城一間好似半島既酒店, 係我一生中(暫時)最好飲既Earl Grey

    另外, cultured buttermilk (白脫牛奶)3湯匙~~如果找不到白脫牛奶係咪可以用3湯匙既原味益力多代替呀?

      妳係咪住喺香港架? 如果係的話,CitySuper 可以買到cultured buttermilk~
      無錯用代替品份量都係一樣! 我有朋友試過用原味益力多跟我依個食譜整過,佢話好味~ 不過我自己就未試過用代替品,我一直都係用buttermilk 來整,如果買到buttermilk, 最好就用buttermilk 啦
